N361 Direction Lauwersoog partly closed from 1st of June
Travellers coming to Lauwersoog from the Groningen area should expect delays from Monday 1 June onwards. The N361 road will be closed for major maintenance works between Leens and Vierhuizen.
Closure from 1 June until 3 July
The N361 will be closed from Monday 1 June at 06:00 until Friday 3 July at 18:00. The roadworks take place between the Breekweg roundabout in Leens and the Westpolder junction near Vierhuizen.
During this period, the province will carry out major maintenance works, including new asphalt and several improvements to road safety.
Diversions towards Lauwersoog
Traffic travelling to and from Lauwersoog will be diverted via the Frisian side of the Lauwersmeer area. Please expect diversions and additional travel time.
We advise passengers to check their route before departure and allow extra time for their journey.
Public transport
Bus services will also operate on adjusted routes during the roadworks. Bus lines 63 and 65 will travel via Niekerk–Zoutkamp, while line 163 will run via Grijpskerk.
