Does the price for the car include passengers?
The price excludes passengers. You must also pay separately for any bicycle rack or trailer/caravan. Bicycles may be carried on the roof of the car at no extra charge.

Is the specified price only for the trip out?
No, all our rates are round trip prices. We do not sell one-way tickets.

Can we reserve tickets for individual persons?
No, advance reservations for passage for individual persons is not necessary and not possible. Save for the occasional exception during extremely busy periods in the high season, you can travel on any crossing.

Items lost on board and in our port offices?

Can we reserve a parking space and what does parking cost?
If you are not taking your car to Ameland, you can park it in the parking area close to the port. The rate for parking in this area is € 4,50 per day (or portion thereof). The parking area is open daily from 30 minutes prior to the arrival of the first boat until 15 minutes after the departure of the last. The parking area is not monitored; parking is at your own risk. Spaces cannot be reserved.

How far in advance must I make a boat reservation?
We cannot give any indication of the period. We recommend that you do this at the same time you book your accommodation on the island.

Do I need to be present a certain amount of time before departure?
For a car reservation and for group registrations, you must be present at least one-half hour before departure or your reservation/registration will be cancelled. If you are travelling as an individual passenger, we recommend, especially on busy days, that you be present one half-hour before departure.

How do I reach my holiday destination if I am not taking a car?
There are buses and taxis available on Ameland to take you to your destination. You can also rent bicycles in the vicinity.

How long does the crossing take place?

The crossing takes place in about 45 minutes.
