Is the specified price only for the trip out?
No, all our rates are round trip prices. We do not sell one-way tickets.

Can we reserve tickets for individual persons?
No, advance reservations for passage for individual persons is not necessary and not possible. Save for the occasional exception during extremely busy periods in the high season, you can travel on any crossing.

Do I need to make a bicycle reservation?

Can we take the car to Schiermonnikoog?
No. Schiermonnikoog is a 'car-free' island. Taking a car there requires a special permit. In extremely exceptional circumstances this permit is issued by the Municipal Administration of Schiermonnikoog, telephone +31 (0)519 535050.

Can I drive a motorcycle, scooter or moped on the island?
No. These vehicles also require a permit.

Is it possible to bring a trailer?
Yes, although you will have to bring it on and off the boat by hand yourself. We do have special hauling dollies to make this easier. These dollies must, however, be reserved. To reserve one, telephone +31 (0) 519 349050.

How do I get my trailer to the destination?
On the island you can have the trailer brought to its destination by one of the taxi companies.

Items lost on board and in our port offices?

Where can we park the car in Lauwersoog?
Near the ferry service departure terminal is a double-decker parking garage where you can park your car. Spaces cannot be reserved. For more information, you can contact the Scheepspark company, telephone +31 (0)519 349139.

Can we purchase a ticket from you that includes bicycle rental?
No, these combination tickets are only sold by the VVV (Tourist Information Office). The VVV sales point is found in the departure hall at Wagenborg and is only open from 1 April to 31 October, from 8.30 am to 9.30 am. In the months of July and August the opening times are 8.30 am to 11.30 am.

Is the boat also accessible for the less abled?
Yes, both the front and back of the departure hall are wheelchair-accessible. On board the ship, you may use the handicapped elevator to reach the car deck

How long does the crossing take place?

The crossing takes place in about 45 minutes.
